Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

AxiomBase is a local-first document rendering tool. This policy explains what we collect, what we never see, and the choices you have.

1. What Stays on Your Device

Document conversion — Markdown to PDF, Word, LaTeX, or Typst — runs entirely in your browser on a local WebAssembly engine. The documents you convert, their content, and the DOCX templates you upload for style inheritance are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. You can verify this in your browser's network inspector: 0 bytes of document content are transmitted during conversion.

2. What We Collect

a. Account Information

When you create an account (via email or Google sign-in), we store your email address and display name. If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects billing information. We never see or store your credit card number.

b. Content You Choose to Save or Publish

Some features store content on our infrastructure (Supabase and Cloudflare R2) — only when you explicitly use them:

  • Templates you fork or publish to your library.
  • Semantic trees and knowledge graphs you generate and save to your dashboard.
  • Documents you share through a public review link (until you revoke or delete it).
  • YouTube imports: when you import a YouTube video, the video's title, channel name, captions (transcript), and the generated document are saved to your private library so you can revisit them. They are visible only to your account, and you can delete any entry from your library at any time.

Local history, drafts, and conversion output remain in your browser's storage unless you use one of the features above.

c. AI-Powered Features

When you explicitly invoke an AI feature (for example, AI Smart Fix for diagrams or semantic tree generation), the relevant snippet of content is sent to our AI processing partners to produce the result. This happens only on your explicit action, never in the background, and the content is not used to train public models.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription (via Stripe).
  • Send account updates, security alerts, and support responses.
  • Measure aggregate, anonymized usage to understand which features are used. We do not build advertising profiles.

4. Data Security and Infrastructure

Account data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) and static assets on Cloudflare R2. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Because conversion happens locally, the most sensitive thing you own — your document content — is in our custody only when you explicitly save or share it.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Authentication & Database: Supabase
  • Payments: Stripe
  • Storage: Cloudflare R2
  • Email Delivery: Resend
  • AI Processing: LLM providers, only when you invoke an AI feature

6. Your Rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information from your profile page, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes the content you stored with us. Local data in your browser is under your control at all times and can be cleared from your browser settings.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Contact us at the address below to make a request.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
